Just posting as an FYI. I visited the San Diego ARES club down South for their meeting this morning and represented GTARC and Temecula!  When I first got my license they sent out a really nice email (someone was monitoring licenses for local hams that have graduated) with a bunch of good starting out information. Since that time I have been meaning to get down there to at least visit and say hello. It was a great meeting. They invited the ham radio operators and volunteers that man the USS Midway station and they gave a presentation. They also had members bring in their POTA/SOTA set ups and went around the room to show how they get on the air and their equipment they use. Good group and glad I went. Anyway, see you all at the next meeting!
